Florida's wild fires

By now you have probably heard of all the wildfires all around the state of
Florida. OUR AREA IS FINE! The closest fires were in the Wekiva River Basin
at the Lake and Seminole border along SR 46 and near Deland. Those fires
were "mostly contained" by firebreaks and the hard-working fire crews
by Friday and are no longer spreading.

The smoke that has blanketed our area is for the most part cleared out due
to shifts in the wind directions and a little rainfall.

We've checked out the areas past Lakes of Mount Dora and Loch Leven
a couple of times and there were no signs of the fire other than the smoke
that has been all over the state.

As far as the sub-tropical storm Andrea - a little rain and wind.....
nothing major or even minor to report.

The "lovebug invasion" is now in full swing....they seem to wait until most
of the snowbirds have left the area and then the lovebugs come to
torment the rest of us!

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!
